Semaloop vs Sauce Labs

Sauce Labs is a cloud for running mobile app tests on real devices, emulators and simulators. Semaloop runs natural language tests on real iPhones and Android emulators against every build you ship.

What Sauce Labs is

Sauce Labs describes its real device cloud as a way to validate apps on the real devices your users carry, and says it offers more than 10,000 of them alongside emulators and simulators. Tests are usually written in Appium, Espresso or XCUITest and run with its saucectl tool. It also lists Sauce AI for Test Authoring, which it says translates natural language into executable test steps and generates code in your own framework.

Choose Sauce Labs if

  • You have Appium, Espresso or XCUITest suites and want to run them at scale across a large pool of real devices, Android included.
  • You need real devices, emulators and simulators from one vendor, or private devices.
  • You want AI-generated tests committed as code in your own framework.

Choose Semaloop if

  • You want the test to be the description itself, with no generated code to review and keep.
  • You want iOS builds picked up from TestFlight and run on real iPhones without managing a device pool.
  • You want each failure to arrive with video, logs, network traces and a root cause analysis.
