# Semaloop pricing

Semaloop publishes its prices in full at https://semaloop.com/pricing, including a calculator. A platform fee is set by monthly executions, where an execution is one test run once: a flat $300/month covers up to 100, and above that every execution is charged at the rate of the volume tier the monthly total lands in, from $2.25 per execution up to 600 down to $1.25 at 4,000 ($5,000/month). Agents (the devices running tests in parallel) are $100 each per month, charged per platform. The smallest plan, up to 100 executions on one agent, is $400/month. Annual billing takes at least 10% off both fees, so the entry price is $360/month; monthly billing is the list rate with no commitment. Tests run on iOS, on Android, or on both; testing both platforms runs the same tests against each platform's builds, so it doubles monthly executions and buys an agent pool on each side, and the falling rate per execution means it costs less than two separate plans. Above 4,000 executions a month, pricing is bespoke.

## How pricing works

- A test is one user journey, written in natural language — for example “sign up with a new email and finish onboarding”. It is a single scenario, not a traditional test suite or a container of test cases, and it takes about 10 minutes on a device. One Semaloop test usually covers what several scripted tests do, so a scripted suite of 200 cases is rarely 200 Semaloop tests.
- An execution is one test, run once. Monthly executions are your number of tests multiplied by how many builds you test each month, multiplied by how many platforms you test. 30 tests run on a build every working day is 600 executions a month on one platform, and 1,200 on both.
- Platforms are iOS, Android, or both. The same natural language test runs on a real iPhone or an Android emulator. Testing both is the same tests against each platform's builds, so it doubles executions and buys an agent pool on each platform. Because the rate per execution falls with volume, both platforms cost less than twice one: 600 executions is $1,350 and 1,200 is $2,100, not $2,700.
- The platform fee is set by monthly executions alone. The first 100 are a flat fee; above that, every execution in the month is charged at the rate of the tier the total lands in, so the rate per execution falls as volume rises and a bill just past a tier boundary can be lower than one just under it.
- Every tier and band lists a monthly rate and an annual rate. Annual billing takes at least 10% off both, so a bill of $400 becomes $360 and one of $9,000 becomes $8,000. The calculator shows annual pricing by default.
- Agents are the devices that run your tests in parallel. They set how fast a build finishes, not what it covers. An agent serves one platform, so the agent fee is charged per platform. Every plan needs at least 1.
- Runtime per build is the number of tests divided by the number of agents, rounded up, multiplied by 10 minutes for an average test, and is approximate. Up to 60 minutes is release ready, 61 to 180 minutes is same day, and over 180 minutes is overnight.
- Billed in USD. No seats and no setup fee. Monthly billing carries no commitment; annual billing trades that for the 10% discount.

## Platform fee tiers

| Executions / month | Monthly | Annual | At the top of the tier (monthly / annual) |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| 0–100 | $300 flat | $270 flat | $300 / $270 |
| 101–600 | $2.25 per execution | $2.00 per execution | $1,350 / $1,200 |
| 601–1,000 | $2.00 per execution | $1.80 per execution | $2,000 / $1,800 |
| 1,001–2,000 | $1.75 per execution | $1.55 per execution | $3,500 / $3,100 |
| 2,001–3,000 | $1.50 per execution | $1.35 per execution | $4,500 / $4,050 |
| 3,001–4,000 | $1.25 per execution | $1.10 per execution | $5,000 / $4,400 |

## Agent fee

Every agent is $100 a month, or $90 a month on annual billing, from 1 agent to 20. Agents are charged per platform, so ten agents on both platforms is twenty agents.

## Worked examples

Platform fee plus agent fee, computed from the tables above. Runtime assumes an average test of 10 minutes.

| Platforms | Tests / platform | Builds / platform / month | Agents / platform | Executions / month | Platform fee | Agent fee | Total / month | Runtime per build |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| iOS | 20 | 20 | 1 | 400 | $900 | $100 | $1,000 | 3h 20m |
| iOS | 50 | 20 | 4 | 1,000 | $2,000 | $400 | $2,400 | 2h 10m |
| iOS | 50 | 20 | 9 | 1,000 | $2,000 | $900 | $2,900 | 1h 0m |
| Both | 50 | 20 | 9 | 2,000 | $3,500 | $1,800 | $5,300 | 1h 0m |
| iOS | 100 | 20 | 10 | 2,000 | $3,500 | $1,000 | $4,500 | 1h 40m |
| iOS | 200 | 20 | 20 | 4,000 | $5,000 | $2,000 | $7,000 | 1h 40m |

A complete monthly bill therefore runs from $400 (the fewest tests on 1 agent) to $9,000 (the 4,000 execution ceiling on all 20 agents, on both platforms), above which it is bespoke. On annual billing that range is $360 to $8,000.

## Calculator inputs

The calculator at https://semaloop.com/pricing takes test executions a month from 100 to 4,000 in steps of 100, the number of iOS agents and Android agents (up to 20 each), and a billing toggle for annual or monthly. It opens on 400 executions, 1 iOS agents, 1 Android agents and annual billing. Query parameters set it, e.g. /pricing?executions=600&ios=2&android=2. Every reachable execution count is a multiple of 100, so every figure it shows is whole dollars.

The calculator also opens from a link, with the same parameters as the quote endpoint: `tests`, `runsPerMonth`, `agents`, `platforms` (`ios`, `android` or `both`) and `billing` (`annual` or `monthly`). The page renders the bill for those inputs, so https://semaloop.com/pricing?tests=30&runsPerMonth=10&platforms=ios&billing=monthly shows 30 tests on every one of 10 iOS builds a month, billed monthly. Without `agents`, the calculator picks the fewest that test a build within an hour. Values are rounded onto the sliders' steps, so for a volume between steps use https://semaloop.com/api/pricing/quote with the same parameters.
